Canadians have the strong advantage of a well-established Tax Treaty between the US and Canada.

Canadians can own 100% shares of a US Company or buy investment properties under their own name.

The Tax Treaty with the US makes the opportunity to purchase US Real estate very real for Canadians in particular (and also for other Foreign Nationals).

A good reputable accountant with significant experience doing US tax returns should be consulted for the alternatives and your specific requirements.

We encourage our investors to use anybody they feel comfortable with, sometimes their own accountants can be the right Consultant, as long as they have significant experience doing US taxation for Canadians.

Our recommendation is to work with an Accountant with a minimum of 3 years filing US tax returns for Canadians, and a yearly volume of 35+ returns. Ask for 4 to 5 solid references.
